How To Use LinkedIn Content To Get Clients: Part I
To begin, what is Content Marketing? A marketing strategy that involves creating and sharing online material such as articles (like this), videos, blogs, and social media posts.
It's intended to spark interest in you, and your product or service to bring in a sale somewhere along your customer journey. The main focus here is giving maximum value!
If you are asking what you should share? Think your customer... what do they love, what will enhance their lives, what excites them? From there create content in the form of:
- How-tos
- Industry Statistics
- Case Studies
- Infographics
- Videos
- Podcasts
There are many places you can post these online, but here's why LinkedIn is the best place to share your newly created content.
- Engage an online community of professional users!
- Expand your customer base
- Attract attention and generate highly qualified and filtered leads
- Generate or increase online sales
- Easier than creating a blog site and driving traffic to it
- Posting is easy and free!
3 Steps to Writing a LinkedIn Article
1. Define Your Mission and Your Goals
What is important to you and your business, where would you like to see yourself by the end of this year. Get real specific.
2. Establish Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
What does that looks like for you? Could be clicks, webinar registrations, and / or revenue.
3. Know Your Audience
Again, what do they love? What gets them excited and how can you bring them the most value?
How Do You Attract Engagement?
Three simple things to remember:
- Be unique.
- Be topical.
- Bring value.
Not sure what your target audience cares about most? Just ask! There is no harm in asking, plus you might surprise yourself with how easy it is to engage online.
