Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented program manager. The Office of Human Resources and Safety is seeking a General Service Program Manager within the Classification, Compensation, and Reporting Unit. This position plays a critical role in advancing WSDOT’s mission and workforce development initiatives by administering the agency’s general service allocation program, a complex, high-volume, and statewide effort that ensures consistency, equity, and compliance across all agency positions, including Information Technology Professional Structure (ITPS) and Marine Division classifications. As the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for general service allocations, this role guides classification decisions, manages allocation appeals, and partners with leadership to develop and implement agency-wide policies. A strong candidate will possess advanced knowledge of classification and compensation principles, expertise in state and federal employment laws, exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the agency.
