Learn Something New to Thrive

Learn Something New, and Your Well-Being Grows

Did You Know? Engaging in lifelong learning can increase job satisfaction by 23%, according to a study by LinkedIn Learning.

Why It Is Important? Learning new skills or ideas fuels personal and professional growth, boosting confidence and adaptability. A curious mind not only enhances your career but also enriches your well-being by keeping you engaged and inspired.

How to Implement the Suggestion into Your Schedule?

  • Dedicate 10 minutes a day to learning something new, like reading an article, watching a tutorial, or practicing a skill.
  • Set a weekly goal to explore one topic related to your career or personal interests. I make it a habit to read one page of a book or listen to a short podcast during my lunch break. It’s a quick way to spark new ideas and keep my mind growing, which carries over into my work and life.
  • For myself, I've dedicated a 1-hour a week (min.) to a personal topic of interest or hobby, continual learning subject, such as work or industry-related, or something that I heard about and want to learn more about it. Some weeks are busy than others, for those I use the 20/20/20 formula - dedicating 20-minutes for each area or giving myself the choice to use the entire time for one area.

One Key Next Step: Choose one skill or topic to explore for 10 minutes daily this week—whether it’s a new hobby or a professional skill. Track how it boosts your confidence and energy.

Grow through learning! What you learn will eventually shift through into other areas of your life where you may even find some common ground of interest in a new situation or upon meeting someone new.
