Spotlight
Just five months after start-up, Whale – Shell’s most efficient oil and gas platform in the Gulf of America to date – has reached full production of 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day. That’s enough to fuel the daily journeys of 2.7 million cars in the USA. The platform replicates the simplified, cost-efficient design of Vito, which began production in 2023.
