The Quiet Power of Coming Together

Over the last many years, my journey has spanned industries, countries, and conversations with people from all walks of life. While each of us is unique in our aspirations and experiences, one fundamental truth remains — we thrive when we are part of something greater than ourselves.

Whether you're an entrepreneur, student, scientist, or diplomat, we do our best work when surrounded by like-minded individuals who inspire and challenge us. This belief drives my passion for building communities that foster connections, create opportunities, and drive impact.

Since joining the movement called TiE Global , and co-founding its Middle East Chapter TiE Dubai in 2002, I’ve seen firsthand that strong communities are built on a shared purpose. Creating an ecosystem where ideas flourish, mentorship thrives, and success multiplies has been incredibly rewarding.

This spirit was evident at the Ramadan Suhoor we hosted with in5 Dubai and 🪽⚡️AngelSpark – my go-to network of eminent Angel Investors who invest quickly but become lifelong partners for early stage startup founders. More than a cultural gathering, it was a hub of ideas. We were honored to welcome H.E. Robert Raines, U.S. Consul General to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, a friend of entrepreneurs and a dear personal friend. 

TiE Dubai and AngelSpark played key roles in shaping the evening. AngelSpark showcased its investment approach and portfolio, reaffirming its commitment to startups. We also launched the 2025 season of TiE U and TiE Women – our flagship global events - continuing our efforts towards empowering young entrepreneurs and women founders.

Closing the session was a fireside chat with Gary Sheynkman and Mo Aziz , delving into Mo’s journey across multiple companies [Pluto , Dapi]. They discussed the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, the resilience required to build a fintech company, and the promising future ahead.

At its core, community is our greatest asset. When people unite around a shared vision, great things happen. I’m grateful to be surrounded by individuals who push boundaries, and I look forward to expanding our impact—one conversation, one idea, and one breakthrough at a time.
