RetrofitWorks recently celebrated their 10th anniversary event at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. The event was a great success, showcasing the company's growth and providing valuable insights into their mission and future direction. It was a pleasure to have members, advocates, and other attendees join in the celebration and engage in discussions about collaborative efforts to shape the future of RetrofitWorks. The day featured notable speakers Sara Edmonds from National Retrofit Hub, Energy London, Reed Environment, Stuart Dunlop, Russell Smith and Dr Valentina. Additionally, Cosy Homes Oxfordshire delivered a presentation on the journey and growth of Cosy Homes, which was highly informative. The interactive sessions were engaging, and the feedback received from various organizations provided valuable insights on how to further enhance the retrofitting industry. We are proud to share the photos taken during the event, highlighting our 10-year milestone and our commitment to continuous growth, and learning as a cooperative.

Excellent presentations and meaningful conversation were had in volumes, and I feel everyone left feeling energised and looking forward. Innovation and passion at the forefront, an exciting time for Retrofit Works.”

Sam Bruce, Senior Retrofit Project Administrator at Your Home Better, reflects on the day and shares his insights:

“It was great to be able to meet and discuss the challenges of retrofit with everyone involved at RetrofitWorks, from advocates, members to contractors interested in what we are trying to achieve. The speakers throughout the day were very engaging covering a diverse range of retrofit/net zero topics from both an industry and advocate perspective. Brilliant event all round.”

We had the pleasure of Aaron's presence from Crystal Windows And Doors Ltd at our event. Aaron's attendance made a significant impact. Crystal has also shared their positive review of our collaboration on the GLA scheme:

RetrofitWorks joined forces with Crystal Windows to deliver the GLA scheme. Crystal is a very dynamic and versatile company and we are very focused on meeting our customers’ demands and working closely in partnerships with RetrofitWorks. We are improving homes by installing products which improve the energy efficiency of the property, reducing fuel bills and the carbon emissions of these properties. The products we supplied and installed to our customers are energy efficient double glazed windows and doors, solar PV Panels, new boiler systems and loft Installation. We have had the pleasure working with RetrofitWorks for some 3 years. our dedicated team comprises Aaron Cutter and Steve Corbell leading the projects, Debbie Richardson and Jess McIntosh handling administrative tasks, Nicola Wright, Shani Dixon, and Mary Pye providing support, Martin Pounder and Scott Cashman as surveyors, and Fred Powell overseeing planning works.

The RetrofitWorks team has implemented user-friendly processes and systems, ensuring that staff training and support are readily accessible. The team consistently demonstrates politeness, helpfulness, and responsiveness when assistance is required, greatly benefiting our business at all levels. We are extremely satisfied with the support provided by RetrofitWorks, as they consistently offer a quick and efficient service to our customers.


We are pleased to have had FMTL's presence at our event. It is with great delight that we share FMTL's feedback regarding our successful partnership on the GLA scheme:

FMTL was founded in 2012 with a vision to improve family homes and the company quickly won the much-sought-after Green Deal Installer marque.

FMTL began working closely with RetrofitWorks in 2018 undertaking retrofitting projects under schemes such as GLA 1, GLA 3, HUG, LAD – Sustainable Warmth and CORE as well as ECO3.

Initially, FMTL began installing loft insulation and cavity wall insulation within grant amounts of up to £4,000 and as the industry grew, FMTL grew and gained accreditations for other measures. Now, our team is highly skilled and accredited to perform various retrofitting projects, including:

  • Underfloor insulation

  • External wall insulation

  • Internal wall insulation

  • Cavity wall insulation

  • Flat roof insulation

  • Solar panels

  • Double glazing windows and doors

  • Boiler replacements and heating controls

  • Ventilation

FMTL boasts a remarkable 11-year track record and continues to provide energy efficient improvements under schemes such as ECO4 as well as having private clients. We take pride in our customer satisfaction and therefore, we regularly gain clients through word of mouth and recommendations

FMTL supplies top-quality insulation materials, paint and render to installers across England. Based in East London, we have the infrastructure and resources to support large-scale projects effectively. What sets us apart is our in-house team of retrofit coordinators, assessors, operatives, and compliance experts, all ensuring seamless execution and adherence to industry standards.
