TGIF 5/16/2025 - Edition 205
Since my spouse's surgery a few weeks ago, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing something truly inspiring, my wife’s journey through recovery and now physical therapy. Yesterday was her 1st of many physical therapy appointments and was impressed with my wife's determination to work through all the exercises and do her best in transitioning from using a walker to a cane. What started as a several months recovery process has become a powerful reminder of the strength we carry within us.
From the early days of pain management to now celebrating small victories, each small exercises, steps, constant stretching, and elevation/icing has been a testament to her determination, the incredible support of her care team, and the power of persistence.
To anyone navigating recovery or supporting a loved one through it: progress isn’t always linear, but every effort counts. Healing takes time, and courage shows up in the quietest moments. I am grateful I have the opportunity to take leave from work for a few weeks to be her care giver and ensure she recovers 100% prior to our oldest daughter's graduation in June. I am also very grateful to all the many friends who reached out to make us meals to walking our dogs on their daily walks. Don't know what our family would do without the support.
Here’s to celebrating resilience, health, and the people who help us move forward, literally and figuratively.
I also want to acknowledge Microsoft colleagues impacted by the recent changes; my heart is with you. If you’ve been affected and are navigating what’s next, please know this, you are not alone. As I see opportunities from my network, I will amplify. If you see I am 1st degree connected to someone that has a job opening, reach out and I'll make the warm introduction. If I can offer tips to how you can stand out with your LinkedIn profile and establish your personal brand, happy to provide tips, just LinkedIn message me.
Let’s continue to lift each other up.
