🛡️ Clea OS 2.0 Is Here: Future-Proof Your Devices with Secure, Scalable Intelligence
SECO officially launched Clea OS 2.0, the next evolution of its embedded Linux operating system — now the default OS for all new SECO devices across Arm and x86 architectures.
Based on Yocto, Clea OS 2.0 is designed to meet the growing complexity of edge applications with a robust foundation of long-term support, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
🧠 Why it matters Clea OS 2.0 isn’t just another embedded Linux — it’s a ready-made framework for smart devices that demand performance and peace of mind. Key advantages include:
🔄 Remote updates and optimized AI workloads
🛡️ Built-in security with SBOM generation, vulnerability management, and patching
⚖️ Full alignment with upcoming EU regulations like CRA and RED
💸 Reduced total cost of ownership and complexity
Thanks to our partnership with Exein, Clea OS 2.0 also introduces AI-powered protection — ensuring resilience even in critical environments.
🛠️ The OS is delivered with a new Long-Term Support (LTS) model featuring quarterly CVE patching, continuous integration pipelines, and detailed release notes. For legacy or third-party hardware, QEMU testing and porting services are available.
🎙️ “With Clea OS 2.0, we are fundamentally lowering the barrier for OEMs to build and maintain secure, future-proof devices,” said Marco Sogli, Head of Software at SECO.
🔔 SECO Products Exempted from U.S. Reciprocal Tariffs 🇺🇸
SECO announced that its products have been officially exempted from the new 15% reciprocal tariffs imposed by the U.S. Administration on European Union goods under the Executive Order of July 31, 2025.
Thanks to the HTS classification of SECO’s solutions, U.S.-bound exports are not subject to the newly applied duties — ensuring business continuity and uninterrupted supply in one of SECO’s most strategic and fast-growing markets.
This exemption strengthens SECO’s position in the North American tech landscape, reinforcing its ability to deliver cost-effective, high-performance embedded solutions across a wide range of industries.
🌍 SECO Around the World – 📍Spotlight on Stuttgart
Our journey across SECO offices landed in Stuttgart, Germany — a small but mighty hub of software innovation. 💻
