What benefit managers are prioritizing in 2025
With 2025 well underway, employers are still working to understand employees' concerns and priorities when it comes to benefits, in an effort to promote workplace satisfaction and culture.
COMPENSATION STILL TOPS THE LIST: ADP recently released the seventh edition of its Employee Benefits Survey, with questions about compensation, 401(k) and other savings, flexible work arrangements, mental-health benefits and healthcare, with some of the results differing across genders, as well as across generations.
For workers in 2025, compensation still matters the most. A majority of survey respondents (56%) noted compensation as their most important work consideration. Yet flexible work arrangements are declining in popularity as a key work benefit, with only 14% of respondents citing that as their most important benefit.

A CASE STUDY FOR CAREGIVING BENEFITS: No matter what, employers agree that taking care of their people matters. Law firm Butler Snow LLP now provides caregiving support through Cariloop , a platform that helps members navigate child and elder care. Like most workplaces — Guardian estimates that 73% of employees have caregiving responsibilities — Butler Snow demographics revealed that a majority of its workers could use the extra help.
"As a child of an elder parent, I found myself spending considerable time researching options for skilled nursing care for my parent post-surgery," says Dawn Anderson , chief HR officer at Butler Snow. "Instead of me pouring over websites and making endless calls to ascertain availability and capabilities, Cariloop would have taken care of that for me."
