This Is What Purpose in Action Looks Like

TRIBER FEATURE WEEK — August Edition

If you’ve been around here long enough, you already know: the first Monday of every month is special.

It’s when we pause to spotlight a powerful mind in our Community, someone doing the work, living with intention and learning as they go.

This month, meet Oluwatosin Philip Oguntunde — A systems builder. An opportunity plug. A purpose-led leader shaping what global impact can actually look like.

And this is his One Thing Feature 👇🏽

One Thing He’s Doing

Tosin is currently leading the global expansion of Volunteers4Cause — a platform connecting thousands of young people with social impact opportunities across more than 50 countries.

But this isn’t just another volunteer network. It’s a disruptive model. He and his team are actively designing localized volunteer hubs in underserved regions, bridging the gap between digital tools and grassroots action. The goal? To make volunteering more accessible, inclusive and scalable.

Even more exciting: they’re launching a new micro-volunteering program soon, short, skill-based opportunities that anyone can plug into, from anywhere in the world.

It’s volunteering but optimized for modern, busy, impact-driven lives. And it’s proof that with the right structure, good intentions can also go further.

One Thing He’s Learning

Leadership is not just passion. It’s also capacity.

That’s why Tosin is currently enrolled in an MBA program, sharpening his strategic and analytical thinking so he can lead with more precision and clarity, especially at scale.

He’s learning how to interpret data, make systems-level decisions and navigate complex problems with both logic and heart.

But it doesn’t stop there.

On a personal level, Tosin has committed to reading one book every week. From leadership to personal development, he’s building a wide, intentional body of knowledge because the more you grow, the more you can give.

One Thing He Suggest You Should Try

Travel. No, not just for aesthetics.

Tosin believes everyone should intentionally experience new environments, cultures, and realities, not just to explore, but to grow.

When you step into spaces that are different from yours, something shifts. You listen more. You empathize better. You gain perspective and in a time where the world feels increasingly divided, perspective might be our sharpest tool.

But he didn’t stop there. Another recommendation?

Start learning how to personalize AI tools for your field. Whether you’re a teacher, developer, strategist, designer or advocate, AI is no longer optional. It’s the new literacy and if you can understand how to shape it around your workflow, you’re already building future-proof skills.

Shoutout to Tosin for being the kind of leader who doesn’t just move fast, he moves with purpose and service.

What’s one thing you’re doing?

What’s one thing you’re learning?

What’s one thing you think i should should try this week?

Hit reply or journal it for yourself. Either way, take a pause to sit with these questions. You deserve to grow with purpose, not pressure.
