New Partner Spotlight: Intel

We’re excited to welcome Intel to the EDGE AI FOUNDATION!

Welcome Intel to the EDGE AI FOUNDATION Community

Scaling edge intelligence—from silicon to systems

We’re proud to announce that Intel has joined the EDGE AI FOUNDATION as a strategic partner—bringing decades of hardware leadership and a bold vision for the future of edge AI.

Together, we’re accelerating real-world deployment of intelligent systems at scale—from tinyML to the most advanced edge platforms.

At the heart of this collaboration is the new Intel® Open Edge Platform: a secure, modular foundation that empowers developers to build, optimize, and deploy multimodal edge AI applications across distributed environments. With capabilities spanning onboarding, orchestration, and model deployment, this platform is designed to make edge AI not just possible—but practical.

By partnering with Intel, we’re advancing a shared mission: to move edge AI out of the lab and into the world—where it can drive impact across industries and communities.

Livestream – May 13 | 8:00 AM PT

In this upcoming edition of EDGE AI TALKS, we’ll explore a low-power, real-time approach to indoor asset tracking—built for the demands of modern manufacturing.

The session presents an IoT-based system designed to overcome the limitations of traditional tracking methods. It compares the Raspberry Pi Pico W (Wi-Fi) and the Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense (BLE) for accurate asset location and status monitoring. The findings show that combining TinyML with the Nano 33 BLE Sense delivers superior efficiency and accuracy—enabling smarter, more responsive industrial environments.

Join us to see how edge AI is powering the next wave of Industry 4.0 integration—and learn what it takes to build intelligent, connected systems that boost productivity and reduce operational overhead.

Protecting the Future of Innovation Starts Now

The EDGE AI FOUNDATION is built on collaboration, shared knowledge, and a commitment to advancing edge AI for the benefit of all. But the foundation of U.S. innovation—its research universities—is under growing threat.

Budget cuts, policy shifts, and talent barriers are putting decades of academic progress at risk. Without strong support, the innovation pipeline that fuels edge AI—and the broader STEM economy—could stall.

That’s why we’re proud to support “The Higher Education Pledge: A Commitment to America’s Future.”

It’s a call to action for students, educators, technologists, and industry leaders to stand together in support of academic research, open access to global talent, and stronger industry-academic partnerships.

Sometimes I find the news hard to process. What is the near term and longer term implications of the decisions being made on a daily basis? What is just click bait noise to satisfy an audience and what is foundational?

One area that we at the EDGE AI FOUNDATION are deeply committed to is under attack - the ability to collaborate and invest in research at our colleges and universities. And while there is plenty to improve about how we educate our youth, we are systematically closing the door to the future.

I encourage you to read “The Pipeline is Stalling” by our Board Member and Harvard University Professor Vijay Janapa Reddi at our website and sign the pledge to support higher education.

In these times we can withdraw and wait for the storm to pass.

I encourage you to lean in.
