🌏 ASEAN Digital CoE Virtual Workshop On 17 September, Taskforce representatives from across ASEAN convened for the first Virtual Workshop on the ASEAN Digital Centre of Excellence (CoE). The ASEAN Digital CoE is being proposed as a regional enabler to accelerate startup expansion, harmonise regulatory access, and strengthen digital infrastructure. Grounded in grassroots insights and real market needs, the ASEAN Digital Centre of Excellence (CoE) will be built on the startup-asean.org platform to provide long-term value for startups, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem partners. During the workshop, participants explored opportunities and challenges facing ASEAN’s startup ecosystem. GUIDE shared regional insights, including funding trends and barriers such as cross-border scaling, regulatory alignment, and funding gaps. The session also included interactive discussions around hypothetical cases, where Taskforce members reflected on the conditions needed for entrepreneurs to succeed in their respective ecosystems. This session is the first step in a multi-stage engagement process, co-facilitated by Cradle Fund (Malaysia) and GUIDE as the independent secretariat, to ensure the ASEAN Digital CoE is designed with regional collaboration and grounded in real market needs ahead of the Startup ASEAN Summit on 3–5 November 2025 📢 We are calling for broad regional participation. The ASEAN Digital CoE will only succeed through the collective insights of the ecosystem.
