Nutanix CEO Rajiv Ramaswami has put all the pieces in place for what he calls a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to win over new customers looking to migrate away from VMware. With investments in incentives, rebates and a new Surge Partner Program, the CEO is seizing the moment. Under Ramaswami’s leadership, Nutanix has added more than 600 new customers nearly every quarter since Broadcom’s VMware acquisition, including Toshiba and Wells Fargo. In a recent interview with CRN, Ramaswami said one thing is crystal clear: For Nutanix to become as ubiquitous as VMware, channel partners need to be the tip of the spear, a deep contrast compared with Broadcom’s channel strategy for VMware. “We have a very different partner mindset compared to Broadcom. We are in it for the long haul with partners,” he said. Read Mark Haranas’ cover story for the August issue of CRN Magazine to learn more about Nutanix’s approach and what sets it apart from the competition, according to Ramaswami and Nutanix’s global channel chief, Dave Gwyn, senior vice president of worldwide channels and customer success, along with partner perspective from the following executives: - Marco Mohajer, president, Technologent - Fredrik Rosman, managing director, NetNordic Sverige - Philip Sellers, director of modern data centers, XenTegra, who leads XenTegra’s Nutanix business
