🇮🇪 Last week, the #HeritACT team gathered in #Ireland for our annual consortium meeting, an inspiring two-day event filled with collaboration, exchange, and progress. 🔎 We began on Wednesday at the European Parliament Liaison Office in #Ireland, where Fearghas O Béara and Senator Mark Duffy welcomed us and opened the day by sharing reflections on the tools currently being developed within the project. Their remarks set the tone for a series of insightful presentations, starting with the work on #EcosystemMapping, which includes the development of several tools such as the #HeritACT #NEB Compendium. This was followed by a deep dive into the design, development and learnings of applying the HeritACT #Digital #Toolkit, focusing specifically on the plans being created to support the Pilot Cities in setting up tools for co-participatory activities with local communities. The day concluded with a policy-briefing focused workshop, where we went deep into the broader impact and application of our work and collaborated on strategies to help engage with policymakers around the dimensions of the NEB project: sustainable, beautiful, and inclusive. 🏛️ On Thursday, we travelled to #Ballina, Mayo County Council, where the agenda continued with presentations from project partners. The sessions covered core areas of #HeritACT, including co-recognition and co-envisioning results in the pilot cities, as well as co-design and co-action processes. These presentations were particularly valuable, as they offered detailed insights into how each tool was co-assessed, implemented, installed, and the role it will played within the local communities. This was followed by updates on impact assessment, the development of guidelines and recommendations, participatory community monitoring and evaluation, and the upcoming communication, dissemination, and exploitation initiatives planned for the next year. The afternoon was dedicated to a series of hands-on, in-person workshops, where we focused on the development and activation of pilot activation events, putting ideas into action and setting the stage for the next phase of the project: solutions placement. We’ll be sharing more highlights soon—stay tuned!
