- 2. Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea and he was waiting for the kingdom of God. Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body. Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.
- 3. The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment. Luke 23:50-56 (NIV)
- 4. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27 (NIV)
- 5. MALE expression of God 1. Men are created to live/lead passionately. 2. Men are created to live in relationship with God/others. 3. Men are created to receive vision from God, and then live out God’s purpose. 4. Men are created to lead by serving/giving.
- 6. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Ephesians 5:13-14 (NIV)
- 7. Don't waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It's a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ.
- 8. Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light! So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times! Ephesians 5:13-14 (The Message)

- 10. Rise Up, O’ Men of God Rise up, O men of God! Have done with lesser things. Give heart and mind and soul and strength to serve the King of kings. Rise up, O men of God! The kingdom tarries long. Bring in the day of brotherhood and end the night of wrong.
- 11. Rise Up, O’ Men of God Rise up, O men of God! The church for you doth wait, Her strength unequal to her task; to serve the King of kings. Lift high the cross of Christ! Tread where his feet have trod. As brothers of the Son of Man Rise up O’ men of God.
