Scrip is used as a term to describe gift cards and gift
certificates used for fundraising. It has gained acceptance in
schools, churches, and other family oriented nonprofits
Scrip is sold at a discount to a nonprofit, the nonprofit sells scrip
at full face value to supporters – the nonprofit keeps the
