GENERALISABILITY Is there extensive information or are there just selective cases or pilots? RELEVANCE Whether evidence is timely, topical and has policy implications. AVAILABILITY The existence of (good) evidence. ROOTEDNESS Is evidence grounded in reality? PRACTICALITIES Whether policymakers have access to the evidence in a useful form and whether the policy implications of the research are feasible and affordable.

What question was the research trying to answer/ what information was it trying to generate? In brief, how did it do this? c.250 words The main research findings and policy pointers. This should be written in a clear and accessible style. It should include, as appropriate, action-centred policy pointers that are clearly tied to the text. If there are particular findings you wish to highlight please indicate this so that, where possible, they can be used as pull-out quotes. c.1250- 1350 words in total.

The purpose is to provide more clarity about research methods/ methodology. c. 250 words References: To texts referred to in the main text.
