Light pollution comes from outdoor lighting, urbanization, transportation, and industrialization. There are different types of light pollution including glare, light trespass, sky glow, and overlighting. Light pollution disrupts behaviors of insects, fish, birds and bats and causes migratory obstacles, wasting energy. It also affects plant growth and ecosystem services.
