and a sidebar with miscellaneous information
in the sections of extra information,
merchandise and social network links).
COLOURS, STYLE AND IMAGES
• The main colours used on the website are white
and light brown, with dark red and dark brown
as secondary colours.
• The website uses a simplistic font throughout
with a two column layout.
• Several images are used, usually as sidepieces
for news updates or to advertise the band’s
albums (e.g. the title banner); typically low
angle and close up on important images and
people.
TONE
• The tone of the website is fun and
humourous for all ages.
• You could see from the website their new
releases, history of the band and other artists
they support.
PAGES AND PROMOTIONS
• The website has 20 plus pages, including
“About the Band”, “All the News”, “Music”,
“Merch”, “Events” and “Contact”.
• There are CD promotions on the front page
but also a special “Music” page that
promotes all albums.
INTERACTIVITY AND STYLE
• The website uses videos, including music
videos, which adds visual information and
performances of the band. The header also
changes colour when highlighted, which adds
to it’s child friendliness.
• The style is clear throughout and a typical
website of the genre compared to others in
the same genre (e.g. Franz Ferdinand)
