1 Sam 16:15 Behold, an evil spirit from God torments you.


*1 The LORD is my
shepherd
I shall not want.
1Sam 16:12 The Lord said [to Samuel], Arise, anoint him; this is he.


He makes me to lie

down in green
pastures; He leads me
beside the still waters.
1Sam 16:16 Let our lord now command your servants here before you to ﬁnd a
man who plays skillfully on the lyre; and when the evil spirit from God is upon
you, he will play it, and you will be well.


He restores my

soul; He leads me
in the paths of
righteousness
1Sam 16:21-22 Saul became very fond of him, and he became his armour-bearer.
22Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David remain in my service, for he pleases me.


*4 Yea, though I walk
through the valley
of the shadow of
death.
1Sam 16:23 And when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, David took a lyre
and played it; so Saul was refreshed and became well, and the evil spirit left him.


I will fear no evil for

You are with me;
Your rod & Your staff,
they comfort me.
1Sam 16:18 I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who plays skillfully, a
valiant man, a man of war, prudent in speech and eloquent, an attractive person;
and the Lord is with him.


You prepare a

table before me in
the presence of my
enemies
1Sam 16:21 And David came to Saul and served him.


You anoint my

head with oil.My
cup runs over.
1Sam 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of
his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day
forward.


*8 Surely goodness
and mercy shall
follow me all the
days of my life
1Sam 16:19-20 So Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, Send me David your
son, who is with the sheep. And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of
wine, and a kid and sent them by David his son to Saul.


*9 And I will dwell in
the house of the
LORD forever.
1Sam 16:1 Fill your horn with oil; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I
have provided for Myself a king among his sons.


*10 The LORD is my
shepherd.
2Sam 23:1 Thus says David the son of Jesse; Thus says the man raised up on
high, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel...
