This document describes the design and modeling of a three-phase six-pulse off-board charger for electric vehicles (EVs) that incorporates a closed-loop control system using a proportional integral (PI) controller. The study emphasizes the importance of fast charging technology as a response to the increasing demand for EVs, driven by environmental considerations and national policies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Simulation results demonstrated effective control of output voltage and current, particularly in minimizing ripple during the charging process, facilitating rapid battery charging in under 15 minutes.
