Overall, worldwide it took in $1,002,891,358, a massive take in for neo-noir. The Dark Knight also contained the biggest budget ever for a noir movie- a gigantic $185,000,000. The film posters where made with a pessimistic, dark outlook conforming to noirs themes of silhouettes and shade.

WB’s three highest grossing film are The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises then Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. However, Dimension Films seems to have lucked upon the neo-noir genre as their top three films are Spy Kids 3D: Game Over, Scary Movie 3 and Scream, quite bland films without much meaningful thought or positive critic reproach.
