- 3. Applying - Using the information in another way Well, today has been a busy day. I have made another burrow in the same area. At the moment I am living in a hot rainforest as this is ideal for me to live in. I had to swim across the river by swallowing air so I was buoyant enough. My babies took a bit longer than me but we finally all made it across. Today the time came to forage for food with them. They all did quite well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This makes things easier for me as soon they will be able to find food themselves. We have also found that human hunters are in the area. This means we may be in grave danger. They want to kill us to get our shells and meat. I will not go down without a fight. Thankfully there are not many animal predators which are by far more dangerous. I think for now I am safe but cannot live here for much longer, especially if the hunters find our burrows. I haven’t seen any other Armadillos for quite some time except for when I was breeding. This is quite good as we don’t usually meet up. Now I am going to snuggle down and try to find sleep. My babies are next to me so for now all is way.
