Policy-based management (PBM) allows centralized management and enforcement of policies across multiple SQL Server instances. It provides consistency, compliance with regulations, and prevention of unauthorized changes. PBM architecture uses a central management server to define and apply policies that can then be enforced on multiple SQL Servers. The presenter demonstrates PBM functionality and takes questions.
