The document discusses a participatory mapping project called Abuja MapUp that took place in Abuja, Nigeria. Over 100 participants including government agencies, NGOs, private organizations, youths and students participated in a 1-day training and then 4 days of intensive mapping to map Abuja. The project followed a participatory mapping cycle where community members mapped locations, field workers verified maps, and local managers analyzed the maps. Google Maps and OpenStreetMaps were used to crowdsource mapping and add schools, roads, buildings and other points of interest to create maps of Abuja.
