June He, Data Scientist Meet June I started my journey here as an intern after I graduated from my masters at UCL in “Smart Cities and Urban Analytics”. I was working on a project related to geospatial data which was really aligned with my interests and academic experience. As we are a small and agile team, I had the opportunity to take real ownership of the project and could see that the work I did had a real impact, which motivated me to go the extra mile. Learning is really encouraged at Datatonic - we have regular knowledge sharing sessions which facilitates learning, innovation and researching the newest advancements in Machine Learning. I always have a lot of support from my peers, and people are very generous with their time in order to help you learn and develop. It is all about helping you find what you’re most passionate about and most comfortable with so that you can carve out the career that is right for you. At Datatonic you get to exposed to many different disciplines and diverse projects. A lot of the business problems we work on are very innovative and research-based, so you have the freedom to explore and be creative about your approaches. Beyond project work, everyone is genuinely motivated to contribute to the success of the company. For example, I help with the branding, marketing, and best practices for data visualisation. - 8. Once your application has been sent, processed and reviewed, you will have an initial telephone screening to help us understand your education and experience. Once successful, you will be asked to join us in one of our assessment days. The assessments are held in our London office in 1 Canada Square and will offer a glimpse into the nature of the programme. You’ll attend with other prospective applicants, and a mixture of independent and group assessment tasks will be set throughout the day including a technical and non-technical interview.
