This document discusses cloud and edge networking technologies. It introduces inter-cloud and intra-cloud networking, describing how they connect servers and storage within and between cloud data centers. Software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) are described as enabling flexible control of virtual machines, storage, security functions and more. Edge computing is outlined as providing computing resources at the network edge to reduce latency and traffic to centralized clouds. Frameworks for big data processing like Hadoop, Spark and Storm are also summarized.
