This document discusses the features and formation of rivers and waterfalls. It explains that rivers change along their course from upper to middle to lower sections. Waterfalls and gorges form through erosion as the waterfall erodes backwards due to gravity, hydraulic action, and overhang formation, eventually retreating upstream over multiple stages. Students are assigned to model waterfall formation using play-doh and label the processes, and find a labeled photo of an actual waterfall to submit for homework.
