tab calc is a column calculator program created by Alexey Mints to perform analytical estimates and calculations on data files. It provides over 30 commands for basic operations like sums, averages, sorting, and histograms. More advanced commands allow fitting, integration, and finding extrema. A group-by option allows grouping calculations by multiple columns. Future plans include improving string support and experimenting with a Python version for additional functionality.
