Revive Us Again - Part 1

Psalm 85:6
Will You not revive us again, That Your people may
rejoice in You?

Revival simply means to bring something back
to life, to breathe life into something,
so as to bring it to its original state.

The plea for revival is so that people will come
to a place of rejoicing in God Himself.

Acts 3:19
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may
be blotted out, so that times (Greek 'kairos' = seasons)
of refreshing (Greek = 'reviving') may come from the
presence of the Lord,

1 Corinthians 5:4
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are
gathered together, along with my spirit, with the
power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Acts 4:33
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the
resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was
upon them all.

Acts 5:12-15
12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs
and wonders were done among the people. And they
were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch.
13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the
people esteemed them highly.
14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord,
multitudes of both men and women,

Acts 5:12-15
15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets
and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the
shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of
them.

A season of revival (or outpouring, or visitation,
or refreshing) is a time when there is a
heightened level of God's presence and power
with God moving and doing powerful things
among His people.

#1, A great revelation of who God is
What happens in Revival (or in an Outpouring)

#2, A heightened revelation of spiritual truth
and realities

#3, An increase passion, fervor and zeal in God's
people toward spiritual things

#4, An increased ingathering of the unsaved

#5, An increase in supernatural manifestations,
unusual and mighty wonders and miracles

#6, A powerful transformation of society above
and beyond what is achievable through planned
programs

#7, An equipping and sending out of ministers
and starting of new ministries in missions,
church planting and spreading of revival fire

A season of revival lifts the entire church
community into a new level,
a new realm in God.

Every visitation of God should become a
habitation of God and become a move of God
released through the church into the
community and world.

Isaiah 62:1-7
1 For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, And for
Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness
goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp
that burns.
2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all
kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the LORD will name.
Praying for revival (an outpouring or visitation)

Isaiah 62:1-7
3 You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the
LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God.
4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall
your land any more be termed Desolate; But you shall
be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the
LORD delights in you, And your land shall be married.

Isaiah 62:1-7
5 For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your
sons marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over
the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you.
6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night. You
who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent,

Isaiah 62:1-7
7 And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He
makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

For Zion's sake, for Jerusalem's sake (vs 1)

I will not keep quiet (I will speak up),
and I will not rest (vs 1)

Until (vs 1)

Watchmen..don't keep quiet..do not keep silent...give
God no rest...till (Vs 6-7)
