- 1. Erik Šmajda My name is Erik Šmajda. I live in Humenné. It´s a small town in Slovakia. I live in a block of flats with my mum, dad and sister. I have a persian tom cat. His name is Garfield and he was bought by my dad. My favorite sports are football and ice hockey. I have played football for a few years.My favourite footballers are C. Ronaldo, G.Bale, I. Casillas and M. Hamšik. I also like watching ice hockey matches on tv or going to the matches to the stadium. My favourite players are Hossa, Tatar, Kopitar, Ivan Droppa, Sejgľa and Petrik. I will write about the sports in Slovakia. Slovakia is a small country but we have a lot of great sportsmen here. I would like to present various kinds of sports that are popular in our country. I will mention some significant achievements in certain sports. The most popular sport is ice hockey. In 2002 we won the world championship and Slovakia became a ´´ hockey nation´´.
