Unit 50 LO1 assignment 2

I proofread my first copy so I could have a look to find spelling mistakes and sub edit
the copy. I have done this so I can do my second copy without mistakes or very little
mistakes. In my copy I have sub edited a spelling mistake, spaces, added double
spacing between questions. This has helped me, as I know what I need to change in
my second copy and I have rectified the things that I did wrong.

When I was adapting my photos I choose to follow my storyboard and edit my photos
in the same way. In my first photo I changed the background to white so that my main
person in the photo would stand out. I did this by getting the magic wand tool and
closely following the outline of my person all the way round so that I could delete the
background and add a different colour to the page. In my second photo I decided to
do the same but change the background to a different colour I also deleted my
background in a different way, the way I did it this time was I got the magnetic lasso
tool so that it follows the outline of what you are trying to cut out closer to the main
image. In my third image I kept the background and choose to go round the outline of
my person with a red pen on photo shop when I had a lot of trouble doing this around
the hair as it was very difficult to pick a brush thickness that wasn’t thicker than the
hair.
2), 3)

My article has a variety of relevant and important content about Adam who? As I had
a biography that I had to make so I could make some of the questions more personal
to the person I am interviewing. I did this to make the interview much more personal
to that person and then the readership for mixmag are used to having personal and
funny questions in an interview as well as hard hitting questions which they use for all
the VIP interviews. I will make it appeal to mixmag readers because I will use the same
type of questions they use in other interviews and I will use language that they already
know what it means.

4)

I have written my article in 800 words because otherwise it might bore the readership
as they might start repeating themselves in the answers. I have written it in a style
that is formal but still has funny non-formal elements, as I don’t want my audience to
think it’s completely formal. I managed to include all the content in the word limit
because i answered the questions and I didn’t waffle and got straight to the point and
I got all the descriptions and answers in the word count.
5)

The changes I had to make to my copy are spelling mistakes, which I had
accidently put in so I had to sub edit, my copy so I could edit these mistakes
out. I also had grammar issues when I read it back to myself so I had to
correct them when I sub edited them. I had size 12 font when I first printed it
out but then I found out I had to use size 10 font I had to sub edit the size of
the font so when I printed it out a second time the font was the right size and
all of these problems where fixed.

6)

I didn’t have to shorten my article but I did have to lengthen it, as it was only
a few characters short of what was the smallest you could have your article. I
did this by making my answers more descriptive and extending my opening
paragraph.
