- 2. EXT. OUTSIDE SCHOOL – DAYTIME ELIZA, a schoolgirl sees her older boyfriend parked outside school. She walks to his car and gets into the passenger seat. INT. CAR - DAYTIME NATHAN (he touches her thigh) It’s good to see you. How was school? ELIZA (anxiously) It was fine. We need to talk about something later Nathan. NATHAN Is everything ok? ELIZA Let’s talk back at yours. INT. LIVING ROOM – DAYTIME NATHAN (Concerning) So what do you want to talk about? ELIZA (Looks down) This isn’t easy but I’ll just say it. I’m pregnant.
- 3. NATHAN (Aggressively) What? You’re pregnant! How is this possible? ELIZA (Threatened) I don’t know. I must have missed a day. NATHAN (paces around the room) What are we going to do about this? ELIZA (Frightened) I don’t know. I’m sorry. Please try and calm down. Would the sauna help? NATHAN Fine. I need the heat. INT. SAUNA – AFTERNOON NATHAN (relaxed) This is exactly what I needed. ELIZA Let’s forget about what I told you. NATHAN I’m sorry for reacting the way I did. I was shocked.
- 4. ELIZA It’s okay. NATHAN I’ll go grab some towels. INT. LIVING ROOM – AFTERNOON NATHAN, leaves the sauna, locking the door behind him which ELIZA fails to notice. He then turns up the temperature, the sauna temperature is slowly rising to an unbearable heat. He is sitting on the sofa after having poured himself a whiskey. ELIZA begins to scream. NATHAN turns on classical music to drown out the screams. ELIZA (Screaming) Nathan! Help! INT. SAUNA – AFTERNOON ELIZA begins banging on the glass door frantically. After some time the banging stops. Her lifeless body lay on the sauna floor. INT. HALLWAY – DUSK NATHAN goes to the sauna, he turns down the temperature after realising she is dead. He has a body bag, previously used for Halloween and uses it to hide her body. He leaves the body in the sauna. INT. LIVING ROOM – EVENING NATHAN’S wife, LILY, returns home. She kisses him on the cheek. He pours them both a glass of wine. LILY I won’t be drinking. NATHAN Why hun? What’s the matter? LILY (Excitedly) I’m pregnant!
- 5. NATHAN Honey! That’s so wonderful. LILY Let’s celebrate in the sauna. NATHAN (anxiously) No, let’s not. LILY Why? NATHAN Let’s snuggle up and watch a film instead.
