This document summarizes the findings and recommendations of a task force charged with investigating options for a blended instruction (combining in-person and online elements) information literacy course at UCLA. The task force looked at existing blended courses, lessons learned, and made recommendations in five areas: technical support, training, faculty collaboration, promotion, and assessment. Key recommendations include providing a course management system, ongoing technical support, training for librarians, raising faculty awareness, and appointing a group to assess blended courses for further development. The task force supports piloting blended versions of existing information literacy courses.
