To make affirmative commands in Spanish, use the informal "tú" form of the verb and drop the -s ending. For negative commands, switch the -as endings to -es and the -es endings to -as. Some verbs change spelling when making them negative to preserve pronunciation, such as "jugar" changing "g" to "gue" and verbs ending in "-car" changing "c" to "que".
