This paper presents Oruta, a novel privacy-preserving public auditing mechanism designed for shared data in cloud storage, enabling third-party auditors to verify data integrity without exposing the identities of data signers. Utilizing ring signatures and homomorphic authenticators, Oruta allows for efficient auditing while also preventing the disclosure of sensitive information, making it particularly valuable for shared data environments. The study emphasizes the need for both integrity and identity privacy in cloud auditing and demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism through experimental results.
