This document proposes a pipeline for an open-source Bitcoin forensics tool. The pipeline would use clustering algorithms like multi-input heuristics to group Bitcoin addresses likely belonging to the same entity. It would then use open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to search public data sources to associate the addresses with real-world identities. The goal is to develop a tool that can help detect illicit activities on the Bitcoin blockchain through analyzing transaction patterns and linking digital and real identities. If successfully implemented, the open-source tool could benefit the cryptocurrency field by aiding in criminal investigations and fraud prevention. The proposed pipeline is intended to conceptualize and validate the tool using blockchain and external data with the long-term aim of releasing
