Jon Schorsch graduated from Washington State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology. After briefly working in the retail industry, Jon Schorsch entered the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Basic Law Enforcement Academy in 1993 and become a Police Officer with the Port of Seattle Police Department. Jon Schorsch earned numerous certifications throughout his career, including Explosive Detection K-9 Handler, Field Training Officer, National Incident Manager, and Peer Support Counselor.
