Ruby Australia was formed to: 1) Make organizing Ruby conferences and events like Railscamps easier by establishing common accounts and facilitating knowledge and asset transfer. 2) Hold an inaugural Ruby conference in Australia to reach a different audience and attract speakers. 3) Further the use and adoption of the Ruby programming language in Australia and support a vibrant Ruby community.

- 5. From the constitution The founding purpose of Ruby Australia is to further the use and adoption of the Ruby programming language in Australia, and to support and encourage a vibrant community around the language and related technologies.

- 10. Formalities • Committee meets every two months • General meeting at every Railscamp • We aim to share the roles (e.g. half the committee will step down at RC11)
