Jennifer Rong interviews with Edith Floyd, the owner of Botanic Gardens, for a part-time position. - 3. Hi, my name is Edith Floyd, I’m the owner. You must be Jennifer Rong. Yes, I’m Jennifer Rong. It’s very nice to meet you.
- 4. It’s nice to meet you too.So, why are you interesting in work at the Botanic Gardens? I’ve always loved working with plants and in gardens. I have a little garden of my own, and I also volunteer at a community garden.
- 5. Yes, I’ve worked in a ice-cream shop for the last summer. That’s wonderful. Do you have any experience working in a shop?
- 6. Yes, I worked the cash register at the ice-cream shop. Do you know how to work a cash register?
- 7. Great. This is a part-time position, 20 hours a week. Do you have any questions? If I get the job, will I have to work on weekends?
- 8. Yes, you’ll be expected to work one weekend every month. Is that all right? That’s no problem at all.
- 9. Very good. Here is my card. I’ll let you know about the position in about a week. Thank you so much. It was wonderful to meet you.
