My Review of Goals Goal 1- Overall Student Performance Tests 2007-2008 89.5 2008-2009 89.6 Yes, they met their goal by a tenth of a percent! Barely! Goal 2- How can you hold teachers accountable to teach through inquiry based and student-centered lessons? No plan for teacher evaluation! A rubric needs to be evaluated by a principal Goal 3-Who has the expertise to teach students how to research in an appropriate manner? Oh yeah, the 11 technology assistants do that were fired. I wonder if they want to come work for free? Goal 4- Numerous Workshops were organized for improved communication skills in the classroom! Don’t stop Goal 5- Data Driven Goal 6- Technology is changing daily. Professional workshops need to be held quarterly Goal 7- Need to host technology nights advertised by the public relations manager. Open forum for parents to bring their labtops and inform through a variety of student driven lessons Goal 8- Impossible. Broad Goal.
NSSD 112 Technology Spending 1.5 Million dollars spent on promethean boards Teachers should be taught and evaluated before receiving promethean boards How do we know they are qualified to use the boards to their price and technological capabilities How does all the teachers questions get answered by 1 person in less than 4 hours per week. 1 board should have been bought for each grade level per school. 265,000 was cut for the technology assistants
My Budget Plan Rehire the tech assistants Pay the assistants to teach the teachers and students Use the boundless resources on the internet to improve technology skills Spend the money to maintain all computers and communication Purchase Half the amount of promethean boards
