Brothers and sisters: When Christ came into the world, he said:

“ Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;

in holocausts and sin offerings you took no delight. Then I said, ‘As is written of me in the scroll, behold,

I come to do your will, O God.’ “ First he says, “Sacrifices and offerings, holocausts

and sin offerings, you neither desired nor delighted in.” These are offered according to the law.

Then he says,: Behold, I come to do your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second.

By this “will,” we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

GOSPEL: Luke 1:39-45 Leap For Joy

Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah

and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb,

and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said,

“ Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me,

that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,

the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed

that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.”

The Gospel of the Lord! All – PRAISE TO YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST !

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate was crucified,

died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven and

seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy

Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the

resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Communion Song When A Child Is Born

1. A ray of hope flickers in the sky. A tiny star lights up way up high

All across the land dawns a brand new morn. This comes to pass when a child is born.

2. A silent wish sails the seven seas. The winds of change whisper in the trees.

And the walls of doubt crumble tossed and torn. This comes to pass, when a child is born.

3. A rosy hue settles all around. You got to feel, you’re on solid ground.
