- 4. “Four Years and a Lifetime Ago” Bill Notz was a junior college student attending Carl Sandburg College on a baseball scholarship. Recently graduated from Knoxville High School. He was seen as a good role model and had many things going for him, with future goals set. On December 16, 1995 that all came to an end. He was hit by a drunk driver on I-74. He was hit head on and killed instantly. As for his killer. He is a free man.
