Forage Uptake of Applied Selenium

This study looked at applying selenium to pastures in Oregon to address selenium deficient livestock diets. Researchers applied selenium at rates of 0, 0.5, and 1.0 pounds per acre to identified selenium deficient pastures in southwestern Oregon. They then measured the uptake of selenium in the forage to determine the most effective and economical application rate for supplementing livestock diets.
