- 1. My Response To The D.O.T. (Poetry) By: Nathan Young @nvyoung
- 2. This poem is a response to the Alabama Department of Transportation and the state of Alabama, which has some of the worst roads in the United States.
- 3. Why are our roads bad, is it just a fad, with all of our many traffic lights, it seems like our roads are in a blight.
- 4. With little enforcement of all heavy truck loads, it damages all of our roads, and with all of our deep pot holes, our cars are put on a heavy toll.
- 5. With too much traffic on our roads, it looks like a parking lot as a whole, why can you not make the road wider, so all people can be happy riders.
- 6. The roads are better across the state line, why can you spend an extra dime, if you can spend more money, we can have better roads for our honey.
- 7. Why do you take your sweet old time, it seems like it’s taking our dime, if you can do projects fast, we will not be last.
- 8. If you spend your time not playing games, the public will not think your lame, we spend tax money for you to work, not to go around and flirt.
- 9. With people dying on our roads, it looks like little implodes, why can’t we correct the situation, so we can have a good road nation.
- 10. Having good roads should be our goal, it should be like traveling on gold, it seems like we have been forgotten, that’s why our roads are rotten.
