Background of Student Record Transfer SMS Project first documented the need for such a system in 2001 SRT was approved by the Minister in the SMS Strategy in 2004 Strong signal in ENROL Evaluation Report from June 2009  Successfully trialled in 2006 (learnings incorporated in current solution) A lot of thinking, planning and prototyping to get all the parts joined up
Rollout: Phase one Handout answers most questions  Google group to support 30 phase one schools includes: Process   and  questions   (as per handout) Discussion   Progress to date   Suggestings for improvement

  • 12. Learnings from phase one It works! Started a little late Schools must alter their processes to utilise the new technology ENROL urgently requires index tables for searching DEX requires redundancy
  • 13. What might the future hold? For the school sector: The addition of more assessment data, as per National Standard requirements
  • 14. New vendors: MUSAC (if they accept the offer) and PC School
  • 15. More schools from existing vendors For the tertiary sector: What would you like to see?
