The study presented research into the manufacture of printed textiles in the twentieth century originating from being a printed textile design practitioner and teacher of textiles, art, design and multimedia applications. It questioned the effect of technology on printed textile manufacture; both with the development of screen printing in the 1930s and the recent advance in digital technology.
