- 1. Visitor’s notes<br />24th November 2010<br />Lokmen Chekki – Production assistant<br />Lokmen Chekki works in the television industry and he has made two programmes. He works for the BBC as a cameraman.<br />From his visit I have learnt:<br />Analogue video to digital video
- 3. Pre Production (Planning stage)
- 4. Pro Production (Actual filming)
- 5. Post Production (Editing project)
- 6. Pre Production requires script for everyone to follow on. They must analyse the people who are needed (human resources), technical resources, type of camera needed and budget consideration. Involves booking locations, actors, free lancers, working on contracts, call sheets must include information about locations, actors needed for particular scene, phone numbers, date and times of the shooting. It is also important to check locations booked for health and safety reasons. Checking equipment after being used is also important.
- 7. During Pro Production in the shooting process the area should be thoroughly checked to ensure health and safety has been maintained. Tapes should be checked before hand because tape dies faster when it is cold. Lunch breaks for actors participating is important at some point. Shooting should go continuously so that the scene flows. All phones must be switched off.
- 8. During Post Production the director and producer must be present whilst editing of the film is taking place. The final film should be able to go out straight away.
- 9. I have learnt valuable important points during production process. When making my own music video i will consider these points.Wednesday 8th December 2010<br />Mr Yoshito Darmon is a professional photographer who visited our creative and media class today.<br />He taught us the aesthetic rule for photographic record<br />Rule of thirds, divided into three pairs if it’s a moving dynamic. Picture must not be in centre of the third.
- 10. Lead room is looking in the direction the person is facing so therefore there must be space in that direction.
- 11. Headroom focuses on face expression.Mr Darmon also talked about the white balance in camera settings. There’s a different colour for every light based on contemporary colours. Blue, red and green are primary colours used to make white.<br />
