This document summarizes a feasibility study into developing a Cultural and Natural Resource Management (CNRM) qualification for Northern Australia. It involved consultation with CNRM practitioners and stakeholders through interviews and a workshop. Key findings were that there is strong demand for further CNRM training and education to support the growing ranger network. The study identifies options for developing both vocational and higher education CNRM qualifications, which could be offered through partnerships between training providers and universities. Overall, the study concludes there is potential to establish a CNRM qualification that recognizes both Indigenous knowledge and Western science to support the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources in Northern Australia.
