Editor's Notes

• #2: We’re at the end of this program. A wise man has once said “to learn and not do is really not to learn”. Despite of whatever our circumstances, we ought to practice on what we have learnt. The following are the suggestion for continuous learning on we have learnt i.e. revisit the material with mentality of learn to teach and not learn to know immerse ourselves with practical hands on teach whatever we have learnt This program is not to teach us to be spoon-fed type of learner. Be proactive learners! And one more thing. CyberSAFE ambassador program is about contribution to the society. We tend to educate society with cyber safety knowledge so that they are self-aware on the potential threats on the internet. We might keep them away from being victim of cyber criminals. What a contribution! Remember, life is too short to fill it with uninteresting stuffs. Be a productive CyberSAFE ambassador!
• #3: Lesson 1 - Introduction to CyberSAFE Website We have familiar with the resources in CyberSAFE website i.e. tips, guidelines, article, poster, games, videos and quizzes . Lesson 2 - Power Search Using Google We have learnt important techniques using Google search engine to find information on the internet. Lesson 3 - Secure the Computer We have learnt defensive techniques to secure our computer from potential unauthorised access, malware threats, malicious code execution, patch management and many more. Lesson 4 - Secure the Human We have learnt common threat vectors - phishing, clickjacking, survey scam, personal information disclosure, internet addiction and many more. Lesson 5 - WiFi Network Security We have learnt WiFi phishing, data disclosure, session hijacking and WiFi hotspot threats. Lesson 6 - Facebook Security We have learnt the various attacks on Facebook – phishing, survey scam, Facebook addiction and privacy setting.
• #4: Our journey is not ends here. We have learnt so far about cyber safety and it is time for us to make contribution to the society by imparting our knowledge by the following activities CyberSAFE in Schools We might want to conduct awareness session in the respective schools. It could be one-hour session talk half-day ICT seminar one-day workshop School Project and Community Engagement We could organize long-term project in the respective schools. It could be securing the computer lab promoting my school to the world Remember that there are two possibilities in our life one could give one thousand EFFORTS to achieve one task one could give one thousand EXCUSES to not to do one task This choice is ours.
